We're building an interactive AI-powered storytelling experience where human authors can have AI bring their stories to life and allow reader participation. As we grow our beta community and prepare for launch, we need someone passionate about building bridges between creators, players, and our development team.
The Role
We're seeking a part-time Game Community Support Manager to join our team in Cambridge, UK, with potential to develop into a full-time position. This is a unique opportunity to shape our community engagement strategy in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment. Be a part of the origin story of our new venture!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow our beta community across social media, forums, Discord, and other platforms
- Be the key link between our players and the development team, ensuring our community remains engaged, informed, and valued
- Create compelling and on-brand content that resonates with our community
- Monitor community sentiment and provide reports and insights to the development team
- Organize and execute community initiatives, including competitions, Q&As, and special events
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure clear and consistent messaging
- Gather and analyze player feedback to provide actionable insights
- Escalate key issues from player feedback to relevant stakeholders
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in community management
What We're Looking For:
- Experience managing a gaming community, ideally in a professional capacity
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft engaging content
- Familiarity with major social media platforms, Discord, and community management tools
- An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret community sentiment and metrics
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Passion for gaming, storytelling, and an understanding of player behaviors
- Fresh ideas for community growth and engagement strategies
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies
- Initiative-taking qualities and creative problem-solving skills
